Gynaecologic Cancers
Includes cancers of ovary, cervix and uterus. Treatment planning is individualized and multidisciplinary.
When to consult
Postmenopausal bleeding, persistent abnormal bleeding or discharge, pelvic mass, abdominal distension, ascites, persistent pelvic pain, or biopsy/imaging suggesting malignancy.
Typical evaluation
Pelvic imaging (USG/CT/MRI), tumor markers when indicated, biopsy procedures and stage work-up.
Treatment approach
Depending on cancer type and stage: surgery, chemotherapy, radiation or combined treatment in a multidisciplinary setting.
