Includes cancers of oral cavity, tongue, buccal mucosa, thyroid, larynx, salivary glands and neck nodes.
When to consult
Non-healing oral ulcer (>2 weeks), neck swelling, persistent hoarseness, difficulty swallowing, unexplained weight loss, persistent ear pain, or biopsy/imaging suggesting malignancy.
Typical evaluation
Clinical examination, endoscopy when required, FNAC/biopsy, CT/MRI imaging and multidisciplinary treatment planning.
